The School of Theatre and Dance invites an engaging and collaborative individual who appreciates and respects a diverse academic environment and who shares our commitment to inclusivity in classrooms and on stage, to join a progressive faculty for a 9-month, Tenure-Track position in Costume Design and Technology starting August 19, 2019.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Design, Drawing & Rendering techniques. The candidate will also provide leadership of the Costume Design and Technology area including supervision, academic advising and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students as well as M.F.A. teaching assistants in costume. Candidate will collaborate effectively with diverse students and faculty.
M.F.A. in Theatre Design Technology and/or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrated competence in teaching
Skills in both traditional and digital medias
Commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service in an academic environment
Experience designing costumes for Theatre and Dance
