The Wildlife Resources Center at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History has two summer animal care internship positions available in 2019. These voluntary positions give you a chance to develop your skills and talents in all aspects of caring for captive wildlife.

The internship is a three month commitment, 30 hours per week including working one weekend day. This is a physically demanding position; candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs. The focus of this position is caring for captive wildlife including mammals, reptiles and birds of prey. Typical assignments include cage cleaning, exhibit maintenance, food preparation, program presentation and assisting in providing enrichment and veterinary care.

The internships are open to applicants age 18 and older. Candidates should have career goals consistent with the field of wildlife management. Previous animal experience is desirable.
