My name is Sarah Carey. I am passionate about dance and look forward to sharing this art form with you–in its many forms and contexts! It is my desire to use dance to further the lives of others by encouraging them to seek truth and explore their unique purpose, passions, and abilities. In my own life, dance and music have had transformative effects. Therefore, I aim to promote the development of healthy and whole individuals by serving those I interact with through teaching, collaborating, directing, choreographing, dancing, etc.
As a working dance artist I wear multiple “hats”: teacher, performer, choreographer, director, administrator, consultant, production assistant, and “whatever-needs-to-be-done-er.”
Beyond dance, my experiences have taken me into the areas of music, theatre, non-profit organizations, health & fitness, pre-K through higher education, special education, nursing homes…and yes, food service (said with respect and appreciation!).
I am curious about the world around me and always open to learning. I have found Cleveland to be a great place to live and work–with a vibrant arts scene, beautiful Metroparks, lovely people, and delicious food.
