Leanne Hoppe is a writer and educator. Community sits at the heart of her work, both on the page and in the classroom.

She holds an MFA in poetry (2015) and BA in English (2013), both from Boston University where she studied with Robert Pinsky, Henri Cole, Dan Chiasson, Lisa Hiton, Megan Fernandes, and Bekah Stout.

She has a wide range of experience in curriculum development and teaching poetry and creative writing to elementary students (Newton, MA), to high school students (Boston Arts Academy, MA), to college students (Boston University, MA and Lorain County Community College, OH), and to adults (Lakewood Public Library, OH).

Her own work has been published most recently in Poetry OnlineThis is Not Where I BelongPalooka Magazine236Peatsmoke, and Driftwood Press.

Her translations of Italian poet Michela Zanarella were published as Meditations in the Feminine by Bordighera Press in 2018.
