TMTP's Christmas Cabaret Returns
In December, just like Santa, The Musical Theater Project is comin’ to town with a veritable feast of songs: more than 30 in all, spanning 80 years of our cultural history.
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, of course. But do you know the “Santa Claus” created by Irving Berlin in 1916? If not, it’s time you did, because he means business: “Don’t act like a fool, and don’t play hooky from school…If you do anything that’s shocking, you’ll find an empty stocking!”
Nancy Maier, Joe Monaghan, Natalie Green and Bill Rudman will perform a delightful selection of popular songs written for the holidays – most of them for musicals.
