As part of the Museum’s centennial festivities highlighting 100 reasons to celebrate natural history, please join us in welcoming the Museum’s kick-off Centennial Speaker Series guest, Dr. Kizzmekia S. Corbett. In June 2021, Dr. Corbett began an appointment as Assistant Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases. An expert in viral immunology, she applies her research to propelling novel vaccine development for pandemic preparedness. In this special discussion, Dr. Corbett will recount how her expertise was put to use this past year in the development of a leading vaccine against COVID-19. While so many of us are looking forward to our post-COVID lives, the science behind Dr. Corbett’s work is here to stay—and driving future innovation and dialogue in the field of immunology.
Participants can attend this event at the Museum or virtually.
